   Jeff Albert is a former professional baseball player who transitioned into a successful coaching career. He began his coaching journey in 2005 as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Louisiana Tech University. During his time there, he contributed to the development of the baseball and softball teams by conducting video analysis and research studies on the longitudinal effect of the strength & conditioning programs.  


        After graduation in 2008, Albert joined the St. Louis Cardinals organization as a hitting coach for their minor league teams. He quickly made an impact, implementing innovative techniques and evidence-driven approaches to improve the players' performance. His ability to connect with the players and effectively communicate his knowledge earned him recognition within the organization and eventually a promotion to the role of minor league hitting coordinator with the Houston Astros in 2013.  This time period involved the development of many of Houston’s core players in addition to several other successful Major Leaguers including: George Springer, Carlos Correa, Alex Bregman, Yordan Alvarez, Kyle Tucker, Teoscar Hernandez, Ramon Laureano, Bryan De La Cruz, JD Davis, Max Stassi, Tony Kemp, Colin Moran.


    In 2018, Albert achieved a lifelong dream of reaching “the show” with a promotion to the role of Major League hitting coach for the St. Louis Cardinals. He continued to utilize his expertise in kinesiology and technology to modernize the organization’s offensive methodology.  Albert worked with superstars Paul Goldschmidt (2022 MVP), All-star Nolan Arenado, legendary Yadier Molina and the historic Albert Pujols while overseeing the development of young talent like Nolan Gorman, Brendan Donovan, Lars Nootbaar and Juan Yepez.


    Jeff Albert's coaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of objective decision-making and personalized instruction. He believes in tailoring his coaching methods to each player's unique strengths and weaknesses, helping them maximize their potential.  Overall, Jeff Albert's professional baseball coaching career has been marked by his ability to adapt to the changing landscape of the game by connecting best practices from various fields of study and implementing cutting-edge techniques to improve player performance.
